On January 14th, the kids were treated to some fun at a place called Kangaroo Zoo from their Aunt Jen. It's a warehouse that they have made into a jumping paradise. There are a bunch of inflatables that range in size for kids of all ages...even those ones we call adults. It was Jen & Nathan, Amy, Lex and Allison, and me and my boys. At first Caleb wasn't too sure about them, mind you, he just woke up from a nap and wasn't quite with it just yet, but he did warm up to it and at the very end didn't want to leave. Every day since then the first things he asks is "are the animals awake?" meaning...can we go jump on the dinosaurs.
Nathan & Logan had a little adjusting to the inflatables, but by the time they got into it,
they enjoyed themselves too. The 3 older Marvive boys went on most of the slides and I'm sure were loving the fact that

**For anyone who remembers those white powdered lemon cookies made by Sunshine that came in a green box, these are very close to the actual thing. These bring back memories of nursery...it's one of the treats we got to eat during nursery on Sundays.
Sunshine Lemon Coolers Ingredients
1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 1/2 cups cake flour 1/3 cup sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/3 cup shortening 1 tablespoon water 1 egg 1 cup powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon Unsweetened lemonade mix (I used almost the whole pkg...but I love lemon) 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Cream together sugars, shortening, egg, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl. 3. Add the flour and baking powder. Add 1 tablespoon of water and continue mixing until dough forms a ball. 4. Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls and flatten slightly onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until cookies are light brown. 5. As cookies bake, combine 1 cup powdered sugar with the lemonade drink mix in a large plastic bag and shake thoroughly to mix. 6. When the cookies are removed from the oven and while they are hot, add 4 or 5 at a time to the bag and shake it until the cookies are well coated. Repeat with the remaining cookies.
