4th of July Celebration

Happy 4th of July everyone! For those living in Utah, since the 4th falls on a Sunday, we celebrated Independence Day on the 3rd. We went to Grandma & Grandpa's house to have a barbecue and to light our sparklers. After the sparklers, we went inside and enjoyed some yummy smores that Grandma & Rey made.
MMMMMmmmmm!!! Here are a few pictures from our mini celebration.

Happy Father's Day

To all those dad's out there, Happy Father's Day! What a wonderful day to recognize those men out there who do so much for our families. I appreciate my father for all he does and appreciate my husband for all he continually does for our children. and family. We made him some breakfast in bed....yummy!! One of my favorite things to do. Here's a picture of his breakfast as well as the boys.

Happy Birthday Jonah!

Last night we went to the drive-in for his actual birthday, but since there was already so much junk food at the drive-in, we decided that we would do birthday cupcakes with the kids in the neighborhood. Here are a few pictures of his Toy Story 3 Cupcakes.

Jonah's Drive In Party

For Jonah's birthday this year, Aunt Jen decided that it would be fun to go to the Drive-in. It's definitely been awhile since I've been to one. I think the last one I went to was La Bamba...yes I'm definitely dating myself. It's a crazy experience with crazy people. I saw things that just made my mouth drop!

We (Grandpa & Grandma, Jen & Nathan, and our family, minus Jake) went to see Toy Story 3. I can't tell you much about the movie, because I only remember about 5 minutes of it before I passed out in the van. Apparently I was exhausted...what do you expect when you wake up at 4:30 am and the movie doesn't start until 9:30pm. We made sure we had lots of snacks...too many in fact. And the kids had a blast. They made sure I was informed the next day about the movie. They seem to have enjoyed it.

Jake's Graduation

Can you believe how time flies. Jake was a 6th grader this year which means he graduates from elementary school. Although out here, it's not called graduation...it's called "promotion". It doesn't seem the school thought it was that big of a deal, which is kind of disappointing. The ceremony was held in the auditorium and there definitely was not enough room for all the parents.

The teachers put together a slide show with pictures throughout the year of the 6th grade activities. I got a couple of shots of Jake on the big screen. The kids were so excited to see him up on the wall.

Here are a few pictures from his graduation. Good Luck next year Jake in Junior High!

Kindergarten Fun Day

At the end of the school year, the kindergarden classes join together and have a "Fun day" together. They asked for parent volunteers and I was able to help out.
It started out with a short movie inside the classroom and then the kids got to enjoy a pizza party. After the pizza party, they started the real fun.

There were 8 different stations that they rotated through with different activities in each. They had face painting, story time, parachute fun, water squirters, water relays, bean bag toss, scooter races and more. They had such a blast throughout the activities. I was in charge of the water squirters and let's just say, by the end of the day, I was a little soaked.

All-in-all it was a fun day and I was glad I was able to participate with the class.

Caleb's First Birthday Party Event

When we were at Jenicca & Walter's Wedding, Caleb took a liking to Dominique and they "hung out" the whole wedding. So he was quite excited that he was invited to her party.

Caleb had the opportunity to go to his very first birthday party all by himself, (well at least without our family there). Walter took him to his cousin's daughter's birthday party.

They had the party at Jumping Jacks, which has rides and jumping things. I was told he had a blast. Walter said that he went on some of the rides by himself and wasn't scared. He's going to be a thrill seeker I think.

Here are a few photos of his adventures at his party.
